I've lost count of how many times I've driven past this restaurant and thought about stopping in. I finally did so the other day. It was lunchtime and I ordered the $13 Spicy Tofu Stew (soup) lunch special to go. It was described as having assorted vegetables but all I got was some sliced zucchini. I don't think there was any mention of seafood. I was pleasantly surprised to get a lot of squid and a shrimp in my tofu soup which was truly spicy. It came with white rice and a small side of kimchi. I also bought a bottle of strawberry soju. That was really expensive. Including my $13 lunch special, my total bill came out to over $30. The soju was strong and quite good. The hostess was nice. She offered me a table to sit at as I waited. It was 12:40pm on a Saturday and the restaurant wasn't busy. The server was nice, too. He stopped to check on me as I waited. The order took about 15 minutes to prepare. It's a modern looking restaurant. Pretty. Not fancy. Seems clean. There's a bbq grill at every table. Some families occupied two tables. They were busily grilling meats. That might be something to consider another time. I'd prefer to have someone else to do the cooking when I go out to eat.

Very nice restaurant, clean with ladies bathroom well attended. Server was a little slow getting to our table but once he got there, everything came out quickly. Family opted to order gyoza, edamame and japchae for appetizers. We had not found any restaurant until now that makes japchae as good and authentic as Namu's. Edamame was seasoned well and our 10 year old grandson loved the gyoza- crispy and generously well filled. The entrees of pork belly and marinated kalbi were excellent, both were wonderfully seasoned and delicious right off the grill. My daughter ordered the bulgogi bimbap of rice, vegetables , meat, topped with an egg which she totally enjoyed. We were offered all the accompanying bachans, but we opted only for the kimchee, bean sprouts and radish. Left the restaurant full but not stuffed. Highly recommended.

Hidden gem! We had the beef and pork combo for two, the portion was great and easily could have fed 2+. The ambience was also worth noting with K-pop music videos playing to give it an upbeat vibe. We especially liked that the BBQ grill had an excellent vent system, which meant you are not smelling like what you grilled after dining there! The service was nothing out of the ordinary and the staff were helpful in explaining their menu. It's definitely on the recommend list if you are visiting the Albany area, and worth the drive if you have a craving for Korean BBQ. Just also realized I didn't take any pics of what we ordered since we enjoyed it so quick

My friend's family came and she took us here. We went here for a late lunch on a Sunday so it was just us 6 on the resto. The place is clean. Our server is really nice and helpful. They have packages to choose from, each meat package has 3 meats. We got the all beef and one beef/pork packages which are arnd $90sh@. The all beef is brisket, ribeye and bulgogi and the pok/beef combo has pork belly, ribeye and brisket. As any korean bbq, you cook this in a stove top grill. All meats have quality and all so yummy. They serve with side dishes, like kimchi, garlic, fish cakes, lettuce wraps, rice, cheesy corn, and soups. I particularly love the kimchi soup. It has the right sourness and spiciness. This sides are served in really small containers. All are yummy too. They end this with scoop of ice cream with cereal. On their menu they also have other choices if you dont want to eat bbq. It's a good experience. We are all so full. Everything good. They manage the smoke really well since you will not smell food after you are done. The only con on this place that I can think of is it is on the pricey side but if you're eating here for a special occassion, then so worth it.

Delicious and extremely generous with side dish refills! I think they're a bit understaffed at the moment, but even so service was amazing and attentive. Food-wise, I'd recommend the Seafood Jeong (we LOVED this) and the spicy pork with lettuce wraps. The octopus bap was good, but I'd only order it if you're okay with slightly mushier vegetables (which I don't mind, but a few members of my family did).

Authentic Korean...as close as you're going to get this far north of NYC. I am a big fan of Korean food and I grew up in Queens...surrounded by some excellent places...and I worked a few blocks away from "Little Korea" in NYC. So, I was excited to hear about Namu and couldn't wait to go. I was craving spicy things with lots of rice and this was perfect. The Kimchi rice was plentiful and the Bibpmbap was very good. I enjoyed the pan fried gyoza - it wasn't greasy and the outside was not too thick as some gyoza can be. The staff was very young and efficient...and I noticed that the table nearby had ordered the BBQ. They will cook the food for you - which is unlike some of the other Korean BBQ places that I've been to. Sometimes I like to cook my own stuff...but this looks like a full-service experience. The small plates were delicious and I especially liked the spicy kimchi and the sweet/savory black beans. The restaurant is tremendous and we arrived on the earlier side....so it wasn't busy (only 3 tables were seated while we were there). Food was prepared quickly and I really enjoyed the flavors. They have some very well priced lunch specials. The BBQ and hot pot dishes seem to be priced for sharing (if you're going during dinner-time). We had an appetizer and 2 dishes....the total bill was around $40. Looking forward to going back and bringing friends!
